NEUERO Smart Farm Technologies high-performance operation system “Agriculture”
Transformative change in agriculture was dramatically enhanced over the past century. If you look at the number of people employed only in Germany, it was decreased from 38 % to around 1,38 % currently (617,000 from total 44.8 million). In contrast, cultivated area is amounted to 182,178 km², which accounts for 50% of the total agricultural land of Germany. Statistics is even more impressive, which shows how many people a farmer feeds on average: by 1900 there were only four people, the number rose to 19 by 1950, but today existing number are 144.
In general, without the targeted and qualified use of the new technology on the farm, without profound knowledge and complex training of the farmers in dealing with technology and nature, it would look rather dinghy on the shelves of the grocery stores in the world.
Integration of the “Third Green Revolution”
Now, a farmer can’t hire an IT specialist for his farm. That is why NEUERO has set itself the task to integrate the new technologies of agriculture 4.0 with mindfulness but also wisely into the facilities and products of the Courtyard. NEUERO stands as a Trendsetter, who is innovative and responsible developing and testing new technologies for creating an energy-efficient, changed requirements for climate protection, new customer needs and progress in technology.
Because “Control and Monitoring” make an efficient contribution today, when it comes to energy-saving, increase of performance, minimize risks, reduce costs and optimize workflow – and last but not least about the environment and sustainability. NEUERO has already taken a first and second step, for example firstly to comply with the certification of German Sustainability Code (DNK), which was successfully completed in 2019. Secondly, in cooperation with Danish provider iGrain / Crop Protector, which offers innovative equipment for detecting moisture and vermin infestation during storing grain.
It stands to reason that NEUERO has taken “SMART FARM TECHNOLOGIES” in its logo in 2019 in order to send a signal to stay competitive. Especially in Europe, in terms of some backlog demand: However, while in the USA possibly up to 80% of farmers use some kind of SFT, in Europe it is no more than 24%.
“Smart Farm Technologies” in the sense of NEUERO, the advantages of ICT should be integrated into the existing product portfolio simplifying and optimizing business processes in the courtyard, reduce your timeline and increase the quality – for example:
- Networking and Integrated Control System, Measurement and Regulation Technology;
- Storage, drying, cleaning of the harvest,
- Mixing and milling of the feed products,
- Application of big data and documentation.
- Automatic feeding systems;
- Digitization in agriculture;
- Use of renewable energy.
NeuerO`s Smart Farming applications do not target only large, conventional farming exploitations, but could also be new levers to boost other common or growing trends in agricultural exploitations, such as family farming (small or complex spaces, specific cultures and/or cattle, preservation of high quality or particular varietie), organic farming, which enhance a very respected and transparent farming according to European consumer, society and market consciousness. Smart Farming can also provide great benefits in terms of environmental issues, for example, through more efficient use of water or optimisation of treatments and inputs. The losses due to spoilage – moisture, insect pests, fungi in storage – are significantly reduced, the quality of feed is maintained and value to harvest secured sustainable.
